Brett's birthday pottery party!

On July 11th we celebrated Brett's 2nd birthday (which was July 8th) with a great group of heart warriors. 11 superheroes came out to Third Coast Pottery at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee and a great time was had by all. 11 kids who have endured more than any adult could ever fathom filled that room with more joy than my heart can even put into words. They are regular kids, doing what regular kids should be doing because CHD research made a way for them. That reality is not lost on me. Between the 11, there have been multiple open heart surgeries, several have had transplants, and some are still waiting for a heart. Oh how I wish my Brett could have been there physically to celebrate, but without a doubt, her light was in the room with her fellow warriors. And that makes this mama's heart proud and fulfilled.
